SIG on Adaptivity and User Modeling
ABIS is the German Special Interest Group (SIG) on Adaptivity and User Modeling. Our aim is to foster research in the area of adaptive systems. We organize annual workshops and maintain a mailing list. We are open to all who are interested in the field and specifically encourage students to join and make use of the expertise in our community. Members from outside Germany are welcome as well.

ABIS 2012 Workshop: The 19th ABIS workshop will be collocated with Mensch und Computer 2012 (9-12 September, Konstanz, Germany). Submission deadline is 17 June. Visit the workshop website.
Board change: Following the elections in January 2012, the new Board is installed February 2012. Welcome to the new board members Mirjam Austein and Boris Brandherm. Thanks for their support to the leaving board members, Stephan Weibelzahl and Daniel Krause.
ABIS 2011 Workshop: Due to organizational issues there will be no ABIS workshop this year. The next ABIS workshop is scheduled to take place in 2012.
ABIS 2010 Workshop: 18th Intl. Workshop on Personalization and Recommendation on the Web and Beyond will be collocated with LWA 2010 in Kassel 4-6 October 2010. The proceedings are online available

ABIS stands for "Adaptivität und Benutzermodellierung in interaktiven Softwaresystemen". ABIS is a SIG in the departments Human Computer Interaction and Artificial Intelligence of the German Gesellschaft für Informatik.
